Pre-AP

CollegeBoard believes that all students deserve engaging and challenging grade-level coursework. Increasing access to this type of coursework leads to increased opportunities for all students, including groups that have been traditionally underrepresented in Advanced Placement (AP) and college classrooms. It is only through a sustained commitment to equitable preparation and access that true excellence can be achieved for all students, and the Pre-AP course designation requires this commitment.

We are excited to announce that Maitland Middle School will be offering Pre-AP courses for the 2023-2024 school year. We will start with Pre-AP Algebra 1 Honors and Pre-AP Musical Theatre. We know that these programs will grow and give access to our students to be prepared for AP courses in high school as well as college level courses.
