Are you passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)? Are you interested in being part of a team that represents Maitland Middle School at the Dr. Nelson Ying Orange County Science Exposition (regional science fair)? Would you like to learn more about STEM careers? Maitland Middle School has a club for you!!

The Maitland Middle School Science Fair Club engages students in inquiry-based science and engineering through brainstorming, problem solving, planning and conducting science experiments, and using appropriate tools to gather and analyze data. The Maitland Middle School Science Fair Club exemplifies the true nature of scientific research. Students will be guided through the process of designing and conducting competitive STEM projects that may advance to participate in the regional and state science fairs. Students will gain valuable 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and perseverance. Students will also have an opportunity to learn about a variety of STEM careers through their research.

The Maitland Middle School Science Fair Club will meet in Room 102 (Dr. Albright’s classroom) on Friday mornings from 8:45 to 9:15. Our first club meeting will be on Friday, August 28th.  All Maitland Middle School students are welcome to join!!!
