Golden Hawk Family,

It is wonderful to be back at Maitland Middle School as the Principal. My children attended Maitland Middle School years ago and I will have grandchildren attending the school in a few years. I was an assistant principal here for three years from 2011-2014.  Prior to that I was at Winter Park High school as an instructor and later a Dean. After my stay at Maitland Middle the first time I returned to Winter Park and later became the senior administrator at Winter Park 9th Grade Center.  I retired and worked for a small private school as their middle school principal.  When the opportunity presented itself to serve as your principal, I felt “it was meant to be.”

If you need assistance anytime please reach out to your teachers, guidance counselors or administrators.  We want all students and parents to feel welcomed and insure each student achieves academic excellence while at Maitland Middle School.

Do not hesitate to reach out to me with any suggestions or concerns.  I will communicate regularly through Parent Square Messages (phone and email).

Regards,

Dr. Paul Wilhite
